PRESENT  Councillors Mrs D Hellett (in the Chair) P Seabrook ; Mrs R Lloyd; M. Buckley; J Lee; Mrs J Stainer; Ms C Jessup .

110/24   APOLOGIES  were received from Councillors K Hutchinson and L Farrer; C L Thatcher, Clerk to the Council.

Councillor Mrs Lloyd recorded the minutes.

111/24   PUBLIC FORUM   was not used.

112/24   DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.

Councillor Mrs Stainer declared an interest in item 116/24.

113/24    MINUTES of the Council meeting of 30 May 2024 were read and approved as a true record of that meeting.

114/24    PLANNING

 The following application was considered.

22/02170/HHFUL & 22/02171/LBC  11 London Rd Kimbolton – erection of wall and railings to front (regularisation).

Councillor Mrs Hellett abstained from this item, took no part in the discussion and did not vote.

It was proposed by Councillor Mrs Stainer, seconded by Councillor Ms Jessup and agreed by 6 members with 1 abstaining, to recommend refusal of this application for the same reasons as before i.e. the works are out of keeping with the listed building and are believed to be on land owned by Highways and the footpath is narrowed beyond what could be considered reasonable.

115/24  RENT REVIEW

Our letting agent is recommending an increase in the rent of Cemetery Cottage from £850pcm to £880pcm.  It was proposed by Councillor Seabrook, seconded by Councillor Mrs Stainer and unanimously agreed to agree their recommendation.

116/24  LAND AT HUNTERS WAY

It was noted that Huntingdonshire District Council had advertised their intention to dispose of this land. Whether this is the correct action is questionable, since it is believed to be designated public open space and this should not be taken into a private garden.

Furthermore, parking for the Medical Centre is becoming ever more difficult and it has long been thought that transferring this land to the use of the Medical Centre would be very beneficial to the village.

It was agreed to investigate further and the Clerk be requested to obtain whatever information is possible from the Land Registry.                                                   ACTION:CLERK

117/24   NEXT MEETING

The next meeting of the Council will be on Thursday 25 July 2024, commencing at 7pm in the Youth Room at the Mandeville Hall..

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 1940 hours.
