7 PARISH COUNCIL REPORT
Councillor Paul Seabrook read his report on the activities of the Parish Council , a
copy of which is attached to these minutes, and invited questions.
There was interest from those members of the public present in Council’s proposals
for Pound Lane and the questions reflected that. The Chairman made it clear that
the intentions are to enhance facilities there and to do nothing which would be
detrimental to cricket or football, whilst maximizing the use of council land for the
benefit of all members of this community.
The Chairman was asked why other organisations had not been invited to present
reports tonight. He explained that it was thought that activities over the past year
would have been very limited due to Covid and, indeed, this meeting is suffering due
to having to start an hour later than usual and fit in the Council meeting following
this.
8 REPORT BY COUNTY COUNCILLOR
Councillor Gardener presented his report on his year and this is attached to the
original of these minutes.
9 REPORT BY DISTRICT COUNCILLOR
Councillor Gray was unable to be present, but had provided his report, which is
attached to the original of these minutes.
10 KIMBOLTON SCHOOL
Jenny Agnew gave an update on proposed projects at the School. Firstly, repairs to
the Gatehouse guttering and parapet are underway and new changing rooms are
proposed for the area behind the swimming pool. These are not for the pool, but for
those undertaking sports in that area.
She had heard of concerns raised at this Council over the public footpath which runs
through the School and they are currently considering options regarding this.
11 PUBLIC FORUM
A member of the public announced that the W.I had met each month throughout the
Lock-down periods.
The poor state of Pound Lane surface was mentioned and another delivery of planings
requested.
